Homemade Vegan Dumplings!!🥟 This was my first time making these, and I am quite pleased with how they turned out.☺️ We made the stuffing yesterday, and refrigerated it overnight. This evening, we stuffed, sealed the pre-made dumpling shells, and made the sauce. Super easy recipe, courtesy of my friend, Jasmin. ✨

Dumpling stuffing ingredients:
1 large broccoli floret
1 handful matchstick carrots
10 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons minced ginger
10 cremini mushrooms
1 block extra firm tofu, water pressed out
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon tamari

Directions:
1. Put all stuffing ingredients into food processor, pulse until mixture is minced.
2. Mix well with spoon and refrigerate overnight.
3. Place teaspoon of stuffing in round pre-made dumpling shell.
4. Wet finger with water and run it around the inner circumference of the shells to act as “glue”, fold into half moons, and press top centre of rounded edge. Fold in pleats and use water to “glue” the dough (I recommend watching a video on how to do this part).
5. Steam dumplings until ready (it takes at least 15 mins, depending on your setup).

For the sauce, we mixed the ing in a bowl (note: this sauce is meant to be used sparingly because it is quite powerful):

1 teaspoon minced ginger
4 cloves minced garlic
1 tablespoon tamari
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon sriracha

You can adjust the sauce to your own preferences. ✨
